and decided to throw the Emo Nite of my dreams! You’re invited to join an evening of throwbacks, friendly competitions, and singing our hearts out because sugar, we’re going down swinging!

I’ve invited people from all parts of my life to celebrate my birthday, and a large part of this gathering will be my LGBTQ community. It’s important to me that this party is a space where everyone feels safe, respected, and free to show up as their full selves.

Time: Starts at 6pm and will go until… to be determined. But tacos will only be available until 8p and we will have a cabaret performance at 8p too.
Parking: Street parking available but may be limited. Please avoid leaving valuables in your cars, ride share encouraged!
Tacos from Creepers Catering (asada, chicken, al pastor, and veggie option) will be available from 6-8pm (and pizza once the munchies hit later in the night).
Entertainment Update: The previously announced band had to cancel their appearance, but Faith Carrion has graciously agreed to perform an Emo Nite Cabaret for us! Faith (she/they) is an actor, singer, and educator based in San Diego, California.

I’m so grateful folks continue to ask how they can support in bringing this celebration to life. Truthfully, I’ve had large medical expenses between myself and my cats that has made my party budget tighten. If you are in a position to support, here are a few thoughtful ways to contribute in lieu of gifts:
- General funds through Zelle (linked to my cell) or Venmo. I’m being thrifty where I can, but costs for the taco person, photographer, and band will total close to $2000. Fundraising for even a quarter of these costs would be a relief and ensure we pay people for their labor!
- Sign-up to bring food, beverages, or set-up shift (Aug. 2 from 10a-12p)!
